Tales From My Wardrobe: Purple Vintage Space Princess & Her Magical Luna Guitar

Vintage, Vintage & more vintage – I just can’t get enough!!!!
My day was full of picture taking, styling and vintage rummaging yesterday! It was a glorious Saturday.
When I really thin about it, my days are always filled with a vintage adventure but yesterday was especially fun.

A few weeks ago I cam across a great vintage petticoat that I just HAD to have. It was screaming for me to purchase it – so naturally I did the noble thing and scooped it right up! I didn’t know where or how I was going to utilize it but I knew the perfect opportunity would arise. And of course it did…

I shot a small video for the Luna Guitar company yesterday. I LOVE my Luna guitar and I will forever play their beautiful pieces of art. Luna Guitars putting together a 5 minute very cool video for their website displaying people who play their guitars and what they enjoy about them. I was asked to come up with a video clip and I was thrilled to be apart of the magic. Then it sparked – I HAD TO WEAR MY PETTICOAT! It just seemed perfect for this project.

I made some adjustments and reconstructed the petticoat into a tube like dress. I was very happy with the results. With some additions of my vintage accessories and jewelry, it all came together perfectly for the photo shoot and video session.

WHAT I WORE:

1. Vanilla beige vintage petticoat that I transformed into a Spring/Summer dress!

2. My favorite white leather Baquette belt!

3. Vintage heart broach with a pearl in the middle!4. Vendom AMAZING butterfly necklace that I wear as a headress.

5. Purple tights from Target!

6. Purple High Heels (My mothers handed down to me from the 70′s)

OH HOW I LOVE THY VINTAGE…
