Purple Vintage Space Princess: Frolicking Red Grassland

It’s been raining for the past 3 days and I’m starting to get a bit perturbed! I can’t help that I adore the sunshine. I always feel extra lively when the sun is shinning bright and the air is warm. Spring will be over soon and it feels like it hasn’t truly begun.

I’m itching to pull out my summer wardrobe but the way the weather has been acting lately, I’m not exactly sure when I’ll be debuting my summer collection of dresses. I CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE WITH YOU!

For today, since it was a bit gloomy and dark out, I felt like being vibrant and exciting. For me, vibrant and exciting means COLOR! I wanted some VA VA VOOM red in my life! I had the perfect dress in mind. I dug deep into my stash (my Autumn weather stash of vintage, mind you….) for today’s outfit and pulled it together before heading outside to begin my day.

Dress: Styleworks Vintage Red Wrap Dress. It’s made of comfortable jersey knit fabric. I use the wrap tie as a belt around my waist and fasten it with a sparkle vintage broach!
Shoes: Navy High Heel Connie Commuter Pumps. These are the most comfortable brand of high heels I have ever worn! I got them at a great vintage shop in 2 other colors! Oooooh weeeee!
Scarf: Vintage Oscar De La Renta Shawl. It has a beautiful print with colors of copper, black, purple and cream in it. It’s rayon and feels great on the neck and shoulders.
Necklace: Vintage Gold Plated Elephant Pendant Necklace. It has a ruby colored jewel for its eye and green stones for its body. This necklace is amazing! It’s also available for sale in my boutique on Etsy!
Ring: Amber stone gold clawed ring. It’s a beauty! I bought it from a vendor in Brooklyn NY who has the most beautiful one of a kind vintage jewelry for practically pennies! I love vintage vendors like that… they are so giving!

After snapping some photographs I spent some time with nature, listening to the birds talk to one another and meditated for awhile! It felt good to get centered today… especially in my vibrant red!
