Hello dearest PVSPians! Wishing you a fantastic Saturday:) I’m pleased to announce that my photograph of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville that I took when I was in New Orleans in February was selected to be in the newest edition of Schmaps New Orleans Guide. They found me through Flickr. I honestly never even uploaded pictures onto my flickr thinking that ANY of my photos would be used for something. I mainly use my account as storage and to organize my photos for my online boutique. I’m certainly pleased that I posted my travel pictures now

Every day this week I’ll be sharing a Purploptimisms focusing on what I feel is are important keys to living a successful & happy life. Afterall, our number one goal as humans on this earth is to live our lives EACH DAY with true happiness. Nothing else will ever compare to it.
DAY 2 – INSPIRATION:
I’m inspired by nearly everything around me. My belief is that absolutely anything can be inspiring! I read and open my mind and heart to as much as I can and try to always remain centered while doing so. No one is perfect by any means but we can all strive to be the best we can possible be.
Inspiration is anything that moves you, fosters and excites you to do something that I enjoy and love doing. If you want or need inspiration just look around you! It could be found wherever you go and just open your eyes to perceive it. The universe can always provide something for you go and look around to find the things to inspire you to lead you into the pathway to your destiny. It will make you chase your dreams! It’s that blissful and exciting feeling that you get when your heart glides and your soul is moved. Be bold and GO!

Every day this week I’ll be sharing a Purploptimisms focusing on what I feel is are important keys to living a successful & happy life. Afterall, our number one goal as humans on this earth is to live our lives EACH DAY with true happiness. Nothing else will ever compare to it.
DAY 1 – POSITIVITY:
Today’s message and quote is about UTILIZING POSITIVITY!
Every second of our existance, we have the power to choose our thoughts and how we operate in the world. Believe it or not, it is the truth. It’s no mystery that being positive rather than negative always brings upon a good outcome. Therefore, why do so many of us always choose negative thoughts throughout our day?
Sometimes, we unconsciously create negative patterns of thought for ourselves due to our personal experiences and as a result of our environments. These can be negative patterns that we don’t even realize are harming us in the end. We must learn to rewire our thoughts and flip the negatives into positives. For example, if you find that you are telling yourself that you can’t accomplish something for a particular reason try reversing that thought and allowing yourself to believe that you actually can. Only you can teach yourself to believe otherwise.
You might feel like you are lying to yourself at first but start off with baby steps and I assure that you will see chnge. This is just the beginning of your rewiring process. This is just one example of how you can start teaching yourself to be positive and start changing your thought patterns. Not only will you benefit but the people around you will benefit from your new bright light. It will shine and rub off on them as well, giving them the proof of your change while basking in your happiness.

Hello Dearest PVSPians!
I hope you are all having a purplicious day! Get purple with me and learn about a new hotspot! While I was in Paris, I had the pleasure of basking in The Ysasu Select Shop in Le Marais. What beautiful and unique clothing - ooh la la. My dear friend and owner John Su is the magic behind the brand. I love the store so much that I had to write a small feature about it. Ysasu is a MUST SEE hotspot next time you are in Paris.

Purple Vintage Space Princess – Ruffled Collars and Stonewashes! Bringin’ em BACK
Hello PVSPians!
Yes – STONEWASHES & RUFFLES. I’m bringin’ em BACK into my wardrobe. Why on earth not? I’m loving the look of the gray stonewashed skinny jean against a patterned top. With the right combination, you can’t go wrong.
Today I’m wearing a ruffled collared blouse with a black and white floral type of print. It’s perfect for the weather because its not exactly feeling like Spring weather today. The collar is the best detail on the shirt because its ribbed and gathered into ruffles as it swoops down the front (with a classy “flop like” dangle to it). Then there is a side button loop closure that gives it that extra fabulous finishing touch. I’ll have to take a close up of the feature so you can have a full visualization.
If you want to test the waters with a pair of stonewashed skinny jeans Forever 21 and Target have some great ones in different colors. Try them out and see which color combos you like best.

I must say thatI love the thrill of digging through pieces that have a story behind them – a story that I will most likely never know. Something about it always excites me, without fail. Then there is the sound of the hangers moving across the racks that reminds me that I’m there for a very important task: to find a VINTAGE TREASURE! Any vintagess out there reading this knows EXACTLY what I mean.
Well, the sweet sound of the hangers never lets me down. I discovered a BEAUTY of a dress awhile back and I’ve been meaning to share it with you all. It’s definitely from the early 80′s and it simply delicious.

Ebony Black Evening Gown. Glamorous as can be!

Shoulders in the design of beautiful roses except they are made up of small bows that create the illusion.

A gathered bodice that is very flattering. This dress can make any gal look and feel glamourous!
This is not your everyday piece so no I have to manifest an event to wear it to. Hmm… I’m thinking a major award show or something of the like. I’ll let you know when I bust it out. What a day it will be.
When I put it on, I feel rather old hollywood – like Joan Crawford “ish” (minus the Mommie Dearest personality…yikes). Its all about the big to do bowtie shoulders and the big bow tie along the back of the dress. A bit much you ask? Please, It’s NEVER too much for the PVSP! You gotta be bold and live it up!
