Purple Vintage Space Princess: Polka Dots and what Nots

Hello dearest PVSPians!
Are you enjoying your Friday so far? I certainly expect so Before I write any more let me share Friday’s Purploptimism with you. What is a PURPLOPTIMISM you ask? Well, since purple is the color of prosperity, abundance, wealth & royalty here at Purple Vintage Space Princess we like to keep things positive if you haven’t noticed already!

Life is too short not to take full advantage of your passions and your dreams while you are to enjoy. So I have created PURPLOPTIMISMS – daily affirmations fueled by the power of purple that exude positivity in all areas of life! These are simply affirmations that I have come up with that assist me in  becoming strong in my daily journey. I am not a certified therapist or a counselor. You need not to be in order to shed positive light onto people you connect with. Thats one great thing about Purploptimisms, EVERYONE CAN RELATE. I’m in the midst of creating a deck of cards that will display all of them in a beautiful decorative way. Stay tuned for updates. Until then we can enjoy them right here on the website and soon you will have your own deck to follow and use each day.

I picked up a SUPER CUTE black & white pinstripe dress last week. It is so cute and extra dainty & feminine. It’s perfect for spring and feels so light on. This Spring, pinstripes and polka dots are in. Christian Lacroix has some in his Spring 2009 line up – SEE BELOW

As do some other designers. Kim Kardashian is strutting a denim pinstripe number this season as well.

No offense but Kim K. should totally rock a different style dress. I know she is fond of showing off her derrier but she would look SO MUCH better in an a-line type dress/skirt or an empire style. Geez, I wouldn’t mind styling her, she could use my help if I don’t say so my self:) Don’t get me wrong, these dresses are cute in their own way but they have NOTHING on the vintage piece that I scored. What kind of woman would I be if I didn’t bust out the cuter, more affordable, better made vintage version, Right?
Dresses just aren’t cut or tailored for women nowadays as they used to. What is not to love?

I leave you with those words. It’s been a long day and I must sleep “early” tonight! I have a big day of vintage rummaging and shopping tomorrow. I can’t wait to discover some relics! Make sure to stop by the boutique especially this weekend. I’ll be posting up some great newbies.
