My sister alerted me of an “interesting website” this morning. There is this website where you can place your face in a scene of a movie and watch yourself as that character. Its not PERFECT but its definitely something that can make you laugh… or make yo want to run.I’m sure that this could b a big hit if the kinks are worked out. For example, the creators of this website need to find some movies with people of all nationalities because seeing my black face on these white bodies was actually rather frightening.
How racist!
They are only targeting white people to have “fun” on their website. Was it so hard to throw in a film with Eddie Murphy or Will Smith… was it?!?!?!?????
Well, they will DEFINITELY be the ones laughing last… once P.V.S.P is through with them. Yeah!
So watch this scary clip of my face on a blond white lady. The clip comes from the film Deck The Halls starring Matthew Broderick and Danny Devito. I have never seen it but it looks silly/funny. I could handle it. If I was a white woman with a brown cocoa face and blond hair I would certainly be the cutest one around, that is for sure! Man, its very weird but I like weird things!!!

So, are you wondering how its done? You have to upload a particular kind of picture of yourself, size it down, and then follow the basic instructions thereafter. Its simple to do. If you are white then you are definitely going to have more fun with this. The rest of us will live vicariously through you.HA! Believe me, its really not that fun. Its more about the anticipation of seeing your face will be uploaded into a movie clip.

MTV’s Newest Reality Show – Bromance… The Debut & Downfall
Let me first start with a big ol’ UUUUUUUUUCK!
That “UUUUUUUUCK” is for the one and only, Mr. Brody Jenner.
I don’t know the man personally but I was not impressed with what my eyes viewed tonight. After all the hype for nearly 2 months, the promotion, the hoopla - it all turned out to be a big joke and not to mention a bit homoerotic. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I am pretty sure that Brody Jenner is trying to portray himself as digging the ladies even though the show would make one think otherwise, hence the title: BROMANCE.
I’m sorry, by the end of this freak show I had to rub my eyes because I could have sworn that I was on the LOGO channel (which I love by the way…) and not MTV. What went wrong?!?! Watching and enjoying gay men frolic about with their lovers doing their thang is cool if you are seeking it. What I DON’T think is cool when T.V shows display and exploit the OBVIOUS repressed minds and twist them in an odd reality show mess. Oh my lord… its not cool to watch people’s emotions being toyed with or manipulated. Oooooh, the editors really need to be given some corporal punishment fot this one. BEND OVER FOR YOUR SMACK DOWN!
Before I dig into some of the details lets see what the urban dictionary says as to what a BROMANCE actually is:
urban dictionary clearly states:
1. The act of wooing a fellow male friend for the purpose of becoming closer.
2. Going to unusual lengths in an attempt to become closer with another male friend. And my favorite.
3. . an emotional attraction between bros. often the attraction is expressed physically through wrestling, nuggies, and head locks. in the more advanced stages hugging, snuggling, spooning, and even kissing may be included.
Hmm…. that sounds pretty intense to me! But most importantly it sounds like gay love. Again, I am down with gay love as long as its open and real. Just be you and be love! Repressed dude men getting in a tizzy about wanting Brody (and Brody waaaaanting them back) and fighting tooth and nail for his “companionship” is not my top of the line reality show. Who would have thunk it? Not to mention, Ryan Seacrest is behind the producing of this show. Ahem *cough* I rest my case. I do believe I heard that he stood strong behind the hot tub scenes stating that he as well enjoys being in the hot tub with his “bros” and sees nothing wrong with it. OF COURSE you don’t Ryan… of course you don’t 
He will be 100% correct once he feels comfortable enough to admit that he prefers men over women, right?
The editing alone could have truly been small clips out of some soft porn trailer. The “bro” hot tub scenes truly take the cake for this debut. I can’t get the image out of mind with Brody initially entering the hot tub and that look he had on his face as his boyfriends follow suit, stripped down to their skivies. The hot tub scenes mirror the outline of most reality T.V shows these days: THE ELIMINATION CEREMONY. All the prospective men who are vying for Brody’s friendship (a.k.a LOVE) all have to get into the bubbling hot tub to face elimination. It was SO hard to watch… I felt embarrassed for even having the show on in my presence yet I still had to go on!
In fact, I don’t even feel like writing about it anymore. It was a full hour of my eyes squinting. But before I sign off, the clincher of the evening: There was ONE gay man who was initially part of the A-team of guys who are competing for Brody. But after one challenge and having a glimpse of what the season of Bromance might bring HE BAILED! He claimed (YES, the gay male… the one who you might assume would be the most comfortable in such such surroundings) that it was too much for him and that it wasn’t what he expected! WOW! I mean, if the one gay man is running off from the 1st day of taping you have to know that this show is going to be a nightmare. He didn’t even want to experience the Bromance (but I’m sure he would have been down with a real ROMANCE with Brody if Brody gave in…HELL YEAH). Oh the horror!
It looks like it comes on every Monday at 9pm. I won’t be tuning in but feel free to watch and let me know what you think about it.

This should surely be hilarious! I have never had a moment where I didn’t think Jack Black wasn’t funny. It just doesn’t exist.
Sadly, enough, I still haven’t seen the other Jack Black Tenacious D film but I’ll get around to it. I’m a late bloomer when it comes to updating on what’s new in TV or in film. I’m much worse when it comes to film.

Good evening kids!
I had quite an evening yesterday and I’m still in recovery from the event…
I had the pleasure of meeting up with old friends (I’m talking people from elementary - high school days) and meeting new friends all in the same night. It was truly wild! We all met at the Amherst Brewing Company!
My official 10 year high school reunion was a month ago but I wasn’t able to attend. I was grilled like a “well done” steak on why I didn’t attend from countless people because some classmates trekked it overseas and even committed crimes just in order to make it (okay… no one committed any crimes… I just felt like saying that). Well, a hardy round of applause goes to them. WELL DONE!
To be quite honest – yes, I could have moved a meeting or two and could have planned my performances around the official reunion date but I honestly didn’t feel the need to, I was busy! I had attended a 6 year reunion that had been put together and I reunited with all of my people then, not to mention Facebook has been a godsend for reconnecting with old friends. So why inconvenience myself? Of course no one wanted to hear the hard core truth but the P.V.S.P dishes it out just as it is and they ate it up!
To be honest AGAIN, after numerous pictures were posted on Facebook of the official reunion last month I became very nostalgic and started missing my friends madly. I had a brief moment when I pondered: Why didn’t I push and rearrange my life to be there???? That’s when I knew something had to be done. I had to see my people!
My thoughts became reality last night and I had a BLAST! So many faces that I hadn’t seen in 5, 7, even 10 years… some literally on graduation day. It was a mind trip. I felt like I was back in high school in the lunch room or something. All of these familiar faces. Even MORE familiar faces popped into the venue (The Amherst Brewing Company, in Amherst Massachusetts) because its around the holidays and so many people are visiting their families. It was as if people received a town e-mail to march them selves over to the bar to meet up.
I bet you are all wondering when I am going to cut to the chase and share some scandalous stories of woe, right? I know, I know!!!
I feel extremely lame to report that I don’t have ANY! That’s right folks, not-a-ONE! I don’t have any tragic stories that will have you gripping yourselves and praying the story to end… or to continue for that matter. I know its a good thing, of course but isn’t it at least somewhat expected to have at least one good story to share with all people (especially folks who read this who don’t know what or who the hell I am talking about… at least you could relate to a damn good reunion tale). I’ve got nothing that will entertain you, and practically nothing for my fellow classmates either.
Well… there were several people that DRAAAAAASTICALY drastically changed in appearance. Yes, how small of me to mention it ,right? WRONG! Why shouldn’t I bring that up? That is something that I can’t possibly ignore – when someone has gained 200lbs and not recognizable? Or noticing that someone has fallen prey to the plastic surgery gods not for better but for WORSE. Eeeeks, yes it was all present right in front of my face. Its so funny that none of them happened to be my close friends though. Hmmm…. lucky for me that I don’t have to diss my people. BECAUSE I WOULD THROW CAUTION TO THE WIND AND DO IT. I WOULD!!! hee hee.
I did, BTW take some video footage throughout the night. It’s nothing major but its always fun to watch, even if you don’t know the people. There was some drunk loser of a fool who kept jumping off the balcony of the bar last night and rolling in the snow. He was making such an ass of himself. I felt bad for him… so in need of attention and love. Well, he certainly came to the wrong place to find it! I caught him on tape. Stay tuned for that later!
In all, I had such a good time. I laughed all throughout the night and into the early morning. My good friend gave me a ride back home and thats how my evening ended. I went to sleep at nearly 6 in the morning and actually thought that I would be able to have a reunion part 2 later on today. YEAH RIGHT! I am still so tired from all the energy that I put out last night. That wasn’t going to happen although I would have loved to do it all again. I didn’t even really drink, its just the energy was so high and intense! I gave so much… I’m totally depleted – it was worth it.
I stayed at home, got some work done and stuffed my face with x-mas leftovers. YUM! Its been a beautiful day.

Happy Holiday’s ya’ll!
There are six days till Christmas… for those of you who celebrate or recognize it. I have totally slacked on my Funky Christmas Countdown. I don’t even have a good excuse, for example:
1. My Macbook died (SUCH A FARCE, I JUST GOT A NEW ONE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AGO)!
2. I’ve been heavily travelling (Mmmm… not so much, although my trip to Tennessee is getting closer).
3. I had to tend to my sick dog (The sick dog that I don’t have, yet that I want…. minus the sick part).
Okay, thats enough of that nonsense. You get the point! One activity I have kept up is my movie viewing.
This purple princess never misses a chance to see a good flick. Has anyone ever seen Transamerica ? I had been wanting to see this film for the past year or so and finally did last night. Firstly, I must say, “WOW”!
Felicity Huffman’s performance was phenomenal! For those of you that don’t know about this film Huffman plays Bree, a pre-operative, male-to-female transsexual, holds down two jobs and saves every penny so that she can pay for one last operation that will make her a woman at last. One day, she receives a phone call from a young man named Toby who called her from a juvenile lock up.
He turns out to be her son as he was a result of a sexual encounter years ago when she was a man. Bree flies from L.A to New York to bail Toby out. She wasn’t thrilled to do it, but her therapist convinces her to face up to her past in order to proceed with her future and complete the last step of her surgery. They start their journey to L.A together as Toby believes Bree to be some Christian missionary . Bree sees no reason to clear up the misunderstanding until some events unfold later in the film. Some serious events happen throughout the film. It’s a must see drama. Tears might flow and most importantly its a film that makes you think about how other people live their lives and how they are treated in the world.
It was very moving. Also, who ever did the casting for this film is a genius. Huffman truly was believable as a “man to woman”.
This world would be a much happier and gentler place if everyone could just accept people as they are. Who are others to judge? Unless you have walked in someone’s life path (which is impossible… you may have similarities with someone else’s life but we all have our OWN INDIVIDUAL journey…) you don’t truly know what they are going through or dealing with.
Watch the film with an open mind!!!

I know you all remember Arsenio Hall and his fabulous show. I absolutely loved his show. I wish it was still on. I loved seeing his triangular shaped head and his googly eyes get excited and interview all the top celebs!

Yes, I am still foaming at the mouth from my enjoyment of, “The Nightman Cometh”. I am totally smelling a SUBCULTURE following, don’t you?

Just when I think that it couldn’t get any better, IT DID! Its like Christmas has come early.
It seems like the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia also created a remix to the Dayman song in their musical, “The Nightman Cometh”. I just love saying cometh. COMETH, COMETH, COMETH! I have to add that to my daily vocabulary from now on. Why not? I’m a fan for bringing things back from the past. I’m talking centuries past ya’ll. History always repeats itself. Well, thank goodness not EVERYTHING in history repeats itself. Can you imagine slavery making a come back? I feel numb…
Okay, I am getting waaaaay off base! Back to Dayman.
This video is pretty fantastic but nothing beats the musical in my eyes. I’m enjoying watching this cast in different skits though. I’ve always liked Danny Devito’s work but he has really stepped his game up in this sitcom series.

I’m kinda liking this sitcom… its grown on me.
Even though I have only seen about 2 1/2 episodes I’m still feeling it. I saw the latest episode, “The Nightman Cometh” on On Demand and it had a mini musical in it I was SOLD! I lOVE it when TV shows break into song and dance with hilarious lyrics with people who can’t sing (or some who can….either way its too damn funny). Since I’ve been on aTV show & mini musical kick, I figured I would keep riding the rollercoaster! WHY STOP?
I won’t get into a long description of the show and the characters – I’m not that passionate about it but you need a little recap just incase you have no idea what I’m talking about. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia follows the exploits of four friends in their late 20s who run Paddy’s Pub, an unsuccessful Irish bar in South Philadelphia. Some of the episode dialogue can be a bit raunchy (like when they dedicated an entire episode to find out who keeps taking a shit in someone’s bed….nasty….) so if you like that kind of thing you should tune in.
This week in “The Nightman Cometh” the character, Charlie decides that he wants to writes a musical and then does. Period. Its just the randomness of the whole mini musical – the lyrics, the costumes, the drama, the music. Check out the clip and maybe you will want to watch the show. You can watch episodes online at Hulu
In the clip scene, Charlie is singing out a tune to this girl that he stalks 24/7 and he basically begged and manipulated her into coming to his show by promising to never follow or make contact with her again.
What a freak of nature! I’m sure that was inspired by a real life tale of someone. For the love…
