Back to the 80′s television classics: Growing Pains!
This show totally takes me BACK!
You know when something like a song, a scent, a person, or a television show can give you an instant memory and gives you a memory of a particular time, place or a thing? I used to love watching this show growing up with my sisters – couldn’t get enough of Kirk Cameron!
I heard the theme song after not hearing it FOR YEARS and I’m filled with such nostalgia. I started thinking about my old house growing up, old friends from elementary school, clothes I used to wear… I mean its amazing how something that you see or hear can send you into a whirlpool of emotions.
Thankfully this was a good throw back for me. I tell you, some of the shows in the 80′s were the best. Today’s tv is a completely different world. Can we say: YIKES? I grew up only really being allowed to watch PBS. My sister’s and I had to sneak and watch our “rebel” shows which were mainly soap operas and shows like Growing Pains. So sheltered!
Anyone else love this show back in the day?
Another Version…

I was addicted to McGyver. I mean it was bad, I HAD to watch it every day after school. Daytime TV rocked back then. McGyver, Knightrider, A-team, MASH…

AHHHHHHHHH! Man, I was so in love with Macgyver…and the show too… hee hee!
That was just the best! It will never go out of style. He could always get himself out of a jam and make something out of NOTHING! Brilliant! I gotta post a memory on that later… stay tuned! Thanks for bringing back a moment for me

I loved this show! Can you believe this is where Leonardo DeCaprio got his start, as the orphaned teenager? Craziness.

I used to LOVE Growing Pains! TV was totally different back then, for sure (by that I mean better, of course.) Especially all of our cool cartoons. What’s with cartoons now anyway? No wonder kids these days are so… Um, never mind. I sound old.
And rebelling = watching Growing Pains? Hilarious. You are SO dangerous.
