Wal-Mart woarker dies in rush shopping STAMPEDE!!! OMG!
Wal-Mart woarker dies in rush shopping STAMPEDE!!! OMG!
When I heard about this story it just gave me goosebumps! WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD! Yes, I know that crazier and more insane things are occurring all around us but this takes the cake for some Black Friday shopping. Did someone have to lose a life in a frightful stampede for consumers to get “deals” on merchandise?!?! AT WALMART of all places!?!?!??!?
I’m so disgusted! People’s minds need some hard core change. I wonder who the actual people were who stepped on his body and suffocated him to death. How can they live with themselves????
They have no hearts.
I can’t even believe I’m writing about something like this – its surreal, it just shouldn’t happen. I can’t believe that people parked themselves outside Walmart at 9pm and waited till the early morning to pummel a poor man to death just for these so called “deals”. DEALS FOR DEATH! ??? WHAT?
NOW I KNOW WHY I MAKE MY OWN THINGS OR SHOP ONLINE! God forbid, I ever get caught up in a stampede….

Back to the 80′s television classics: Growing Pains!
Back to the 80′s television classics: Growing Pains!
This show totally takes me BACK!
You know when something like a song, a scent, a person, or a television show can give you an instant memory and gives you a memory of a particular time, place or a thing? I used to love watching this show growing up with my sisters – couldn’t get enough of Kirk Cameron!
I heard the theme song after not hearing it FOR YEARS and I’m filled with such nostalgia. I started thinking about my old house growing up, old friends from elementary school, clothes I used to wear… I mean its amazing how something that you see or hear can send you into a whirlpool of emotions.
Thankfully this was a good throw back for me. I tell you, some of the shows in the 80′s were the best. Today’s tv is a completely different world. Can we say: YIKES? I grew up only really being allowed to watch PBS. My sister’s and I had to sneak and watch our “rebel” shows which were mainly soap operas and shows like Growing Pains. So sheltered!
Anyone else love this show back in the day?
Another Version…

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to ya’ll!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to ya’ll!
Don’t you just love Thanksgiving?
I’m trying to not slip into another food coma… HELP!!!!
The apple pies, the turkeys (or Tofurky for you vegetarian & vegans out there…) the stuffing, cranberry sauce… mmm mmm MMMM, you get the point!
But is the point to just eat yourself into a gluttonous oblivion? I can’t lie that its kind of fun… hee hee, I LOVE a good pig out. Shouldn’t we wake up every morning and be thankful for being alive and then keep up the thanks for the remainder of the day?
Well… thats how I live my life. Its not about one day of “being thankful” (which most people don’t even bother to do – they just make it about a good meal and travel, perhaps with a dash of dysfunctional family & friends drama… some of the horror stories I hear) its about giving and sharing and paying your good fortune to others. Can’t you remember a time in your life when you were so happy or when something helped you in a way that just blew your mind? If not then CREATE a moment like that. Wouldn’t it be nice to do the same for someone else?
Ah, alas! I feel like eating more – I just can’t help it. My mother is such a wonderful cook and I just can’t stop eating today. Thanksgiving or not that is just how it is whenever she cooks. She has a gift…
Anyhoo: BE WELL, BE HAPPY AND BE POSITIVE EACH AND EVERY DAY!!!!
More soon

Some things in life are just meant to be!
Some things in life are just meant to be!
Do you ever have those moments in your life where you just know that something has happened for a specific reason? Maybe you don’t have all of the answers right away but they usually trickle in as serendipitous events that bring some clarity. This is how it works in my life!
I’ve learned that when things happen in my life that I have attracted them into my life with my thoughts. The more I focus on what I desire and what I need it shows up without a shadow of a doubt! With things that haven’t manifested yet I NEVER GIVE UP. That is very important… NEVER, EVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. If you do then they won’t materialize – simply said. I continue to visualize and create and put energy and action into whatever it is I need. It usually doesn’t present itself in a way that I had imagined which is one of the BEST parts about manifesting and creating. Its always such a lovely surprise!
Check out my latest composition & video: “Meant to Be” © 2008
There will be more on this later…
Remember – THINK POSITIVE AND DREAM BIG! Start manifesting your deepest desires today with your THOUGHTS! If you can think it, believe it and put action towards it then its ALL YOURS!
xoxo

Can’t get enough CHICK FLICKS! Who has seen The Notebook staring Ryan Gosling?
Can’t get enough CHICK FLICKS! Who has seen The Notebook staring Ryan Gosling?
Purple Vintage Did anyone catch the The Notebook on cable a few days ago? I had already seen it a few times before and absolutely loved it. Ryan Gosling is all I have to say!

R-Y-A-N G-0-S-L-I-N-G!!!!! RYAN GOSLING!!! I could just type that over and over as my mini review of the movie and I know that y’all would understand. Last post I was all about Ed Burns. Sorry Ed, but you have been DEMOTED! It’s all about Ryan right now.

I digress though… on with talking about “The Notebook”. Ryan and his Co-star (and then girlfriend…) Rachel McAdams characters were so real and so believable. Perhaps its because they actually WERE a couple at the time. Rumor is that they have gotten back together?!?! I refuse to believe such filth stories. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Anyway, even though the end of this flick might be a bit predictable, this film lacks the typical structure of most romantic movies I’ve seen. It was interesting to see how the characters evolved and came together.
This chick flick begins with James Garner reading pages out of a notebook to alzheimer patient Gena Rowlands. As the story unfolds, we meet Allie and Noah. Allie comes from a wealthy Southern family. Noah works in the lumber yard. We see their joys as well as their struggles. Though they seem like complete opposites, they fall in love only to be torn apart when Noah leaves for World War 2 and Allie becomes engaged to another man. The horror of it all!
You will have to watch it yourself to discover the ending, but the two lovers reunite and Allie is faced with the decision of whether to keep her promise to her fiance or to go back to the man she left behind. What a decision, eh? One that I would never want to be faced with.

Purple Vintage Space Princess loved Ed Burns’ “Purple Violets”
Purple Vintage Space Princess loved Ed Burns’ “Purple Violets”
This was written and directed by Ed Burns. I am really loving his films. I saw bits and pieces of ‘Sidewalks of New York’ it was really sweet. What is even sweeter is this film.
I really enjoyed this movie when I thought I wouldn’t. The title lured me in since I am the Purple Vintage Space Princess… how could I say no?!?!
I am a big fan of Selma Blair, and the rest of the cast looked great, so I thought I’d give it a go. It has a cynical feel to it (mostly in the beginning), so you may have to be in the right mood to appreciate it. If you’ve enjoyed any other Edward Burns films, I believe you will enjoy this one as well.
Set in New York (Burns loves New York), the main character, Patti Petalson (Blair) is a writer/real-estate agent who seems to be caught in a rut. She hates her job (real-estate agent) to the point where her sarcastic remarks to a client almost cause her boss (one of those in your face, I am always right type of fellows) to lose it. Her relationship with her husband is full of bickering, forced fights about nothing, and no sex. And even though she is fantastic writer she hasn’t written anything since college. One night she goes out to celebrate her best friend, Kate’s (Debra Messing) birthday, when they run into their college sweethearts. Brian Callahan (Patrick Wilson) is a writer who Patti let slip away, while Michael Murphy – “the Murp” (Edward Burns) is Kate’s old boyfriend who she swears to the day, cheated on her back in college.

Brian is currently frustrated over bad reviews of his latest book, and Michael is a wealthy lawyer who ends up hiring Patti to help find him a new flat. From there things progress, and past feelings between these two past couples renew. The story focuses on Patti and Brian’s struggle to become great writers (well, more like Patti’s struggle to start writing again, and Brian’s struggle to be accepted by the world as a serious writer, and not just the crime novels he is known for) and the events that bring them together again.
I like the simplicity of the story, but to complexity of the characters. Debra Messing and Edward Burns added the humor, while Patrick and Selma added the romance and struggle of finding oneself. If this sounds like your type of movie I suggest you give it a shot! I also have to add that Ed Burns is quite the hottie! I could have done without his character’s thick New York accent (I don’t know why it rubbed me the wrong way…) but I got over it quick. Just look at that face:
Enough said! Kick back for a minute or two and check out the trailer.
I just love my chick flicks ![]()
Who is with me?

My Iphone is my new lover…
My Iphone is my new lover…
I am not ashamed to admit it!
I AM IN LOVE WITH MY IPHONE AND I’M GOING TO SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS AND YOU CAN’T STOP ME!
To think that I used to put this amazing technology down and swore by my Blackberry Pearl!
What did Blackberry ever do for me? My keys used to stick and my roller ball always gave me issues. Blackberry is just not Apple – PERIOD! They can’t compete or compare. My Blackberry pearl is under my bed somewhere gathering dust and begging me to just give it one more try.
I have a new phone in my life now… it would feel like cheating. I’m NEVER GOING BACK! That pearl is sooooooo going on the Ebay auction block ASAP. It’s over…
Anyway so Iphone 3G and I linked up about 2 months ago and 3G has been so good to me. Its always there for me when I need it most. We got acquainted rather quickly but I felt comfortable with it at the same time.
That shiny touch screen just makes me happy every time I see 3G or touch it… that sensitive little bastard, always playing games on me. I love 3G though, so I let it get away with it, sometimes.
So last night 3G and I shared my bed. YES, we slept together. Was it too soon?
OKAY… confession… Iphone 3G and I have been sleeping together for the past month really. I can’t seem to get enough of it. Don’t get me wrong, I am not possessive or anything… I just depend on it so much. Do I need therapy?!?!? What if an important email comes through during the middle of the night? Or that important call from one of my clients??? Am I supposed to jump out of my warm bed, run over to my Macbook or my landline and check periodically throughout the night? Puh-leeease! That’s what 3G is good for! 3G gives me a little “ring” or a “buzz” when I am supposed to check on it. It is always keeping me in line and is ALWAYS one step ahead of me. How did it get so smart? 3G keeps me organized, gets me on time to my meetings, sings sweet jingles to me, plays my favorite tunes, lets me watch practically anything I want on it. I can order all the things I need online and delegate all my tasks with practically all of its fine attributes. It LOVES me and I LOVE 3G back. “3G and me were meant to be” That’s one of my new songs for my lover! Stay tuned for my ode to 3G in the next posting or two…)

There was this one time when it was mad at me and had the nerve to just shut off! I mean…. how are you going to treat me like that, IPHONE?!?!?!?! After everything I did and gave up for you?!?!? I can’t even get started on that story… it was tragic and I swore never to speak of the incident again. We got through it and I want to look to the future with Iphone… never looking back *happy sigh*
Like I said… stay tuned for my Ode to my new lover 3G “3G and I were meant to be”!
Much love
xoxo
